Biography

James Viscardi is the Vice President of Business Development at Image Comics, where he spearheads strategic partnerships, brand initiatives, and creator-first campaigns for the most influential independent publisher in the world. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of comics, entertainment, and media, James previously served as Executive Editor at ComicBook.com, which he co-founded and helped grow into a major entertainment news outlet before its acquisition by Paramount.

James began his career at Marvel Entertainment, where he worked closely with creators, directors, and talent on major publishing, media and digital initiatives. Now at Image, he champions creator-owned storytelling, builds impactful cross-industry collaborations, and leads innovative projects, from promotional campaigns and merchandise to convention experiences and digital growth strategies.

A lifelong fan of superhero mythology, pop culture, and storytelling in all forms, James is passionate about connecting audiences with bold, creator-driven work and building a more sustainable, empowering future for creators.
