“Our world is filled with opinions which are expressed on so very many platforms. Amidst this culture is the opportunity to lead, to teach, to coach. Many people want to coach everyone else, but they fail to understand that they must first coach themselves. Our Davidson College Basketball mission statement was structured on the foundation of three simple words: trust, commitment, and care. Can you be trusted to do your best? Will you be committed to doing your best? Will you care about each other and show that care? This is a simple formula for building a team, creating a culture, and coaching yourself. I’m excited that the Chaminade Leadership Summit will give me an opportunity to share this message.”
