Introduction

In an era when nearly every financial market movement is labeled “unprecedented,” and every challenge is framed as a “global existential threat,” this panel brings perspective, experience, history, and faith back into the conversation.

Drawing on careers spanning global equities, foreign exchange, and macroeconomic research, a panel of Chaminade alumni—moderated by a leading Wall Street Journal columnist—will examine how economic disruption, policy shifts, and technological change are reshaping global markets, and why many of today’s challenges are not as new as they appear.

This interactive discussion will explore multiple topics including U.S. monetary policy, the future role of the U.S. dollar, and the disruptive impact of digital assets and artificial intelligence on financial markets.

Just as importantly, the panel will reflect on leadership in times of uncertainty—how, in every market cycle, Chaminade alumni can respond to dramatic change with perspective rather than fear, and why true leadership demands judgment, discipline, and calm over panic.
